Through the years CITGO Lake Charles Refinery has gained a positive reputation as one of the safest facilities in our industry. Our solid safety culture is part of our efforts to ensure employee safety awareness and make safety an integral part of every job task. In 2010, the CITGO Lake Charles Refinery received one Meritorious Safety Performance Award and one Safety Achievement Award from the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association (NPRA) for its safe operations.
